What is Hypnotherapy?

Hypnotherapy is both relaxing and calming. Hypnosis has been around for centuries and is a natural state, very similar to daydreaming. During hypnosis you will be extremely calm and relaxed with a heightened sense of awareness and concentration. This allows your conscious mind to rest, while your subconscious mind becomes receptive to positive suggestions.

You are in control at all times. By tapping into the subconscious and applying appropriate suggestions it is possible to overcome:

  • Fears and/or Phobias
  • Increase self-esteem and confidence
  • Encourage weight loss
  • Control anxiety
  • Stop smoking
  • Control alcohol consumption
  • Improve sport performance

How many session will I need?

This depends very much on the condition being treated - most conditions show a great improvement in just one session, whilst others may require more. However, this will be discussed with you during the initial consultation which is free.

What happens during an initial consultation?

A brief discussion, where we will consider the condition you wish treated, discuss any medical issues and decide on the course of treatment appropriate for you. This is followed by a relaxing hypnotherapy session.
